The professional dance couple, Rangel Spirov and Veronika Chernyavska, are five time Bulgarian National Champions in Professional Latin.  Rangel comes from Plovdiv, Bulgaria and he has resided in the United States since 2011. Veronika was born in Lviv, Ukraine and with her family moved to the States at the age of 11.  Together, Rangel and Veronika currently reside in the Dallas Ft. Worth, Texas.  Rangel started ballroom dancing at the age of 8 when a family friend’s daughter invited him to a dance group class.  Once he realized that he outnumbered the girls 10 to 1, he quickly decided to commit to ballroom dancing.  While in Ukraine, Veronika started dancing in a traditional folk-dance group at the age of 9. It was then that Veronika discovered her love for dance.  Outside of dance, Rangel and Veronika love to travel, learning about new cultures and exploring the natural wonders of the world. 

In 2010, Rangel and Veronika met online and decided to meet in Padova, Italy for a dance tryout.  With the blessing of a world-renowned master teacher, Carolyn Smith, they decided to dance together in Professional Latin and have been competing together ever since.  Rangel and Veronika have been fortunate enough to train with many of the top dance teachers in Europe and North America.  The knowledge that they have received has opened many doors and they feel grateful to make a living with their passion.  They have danced in over 40 countries and on stages such as the Royal Albert Hall in England, Nippon Budokan arena in Tokyo, Kremlin Palace in Moscow, and shows like “Dancing With The Stars Bulgaria”, “ So You Think You Can Dance”, and many more.

After competing professionally 7 years together, in 2018, Rangel and Veronika opened their own ballroom dance studio Image Ballroom Dance Academy in Dallas, Texas.  They are fortunate and grateful to work with students of all ages, skills, and goals.  As artists, they love to share their passion for self-expression through dance and movement. As athletes, they believe that everything of value does not come easily and must be developed through hard work and major commitment to your goals.

Spirov and Chernyavska have proven to be one of the top professional latin couples in the world, placing in the top 35 of the WDC World ranking calendar for several years.  They have been finalist in some of the biggest competitions in the United States, Europe, and Asia, such as “Millennium Dancesport Championships," "Holiday Dance Classic,” "Vegas Open," ”International Championships Rising Star Latin," semifinalist of “Asia Tour” and quarter finalists at the prestigious “Blackpool Dance Festival."

However, they consider their main accomplishment to be working together, overcoming obstacles as a team, and not giving up on each other.  Their future goal is to keep growing and developing as dancers, teachers and business owners.  Through their studio, they hope to help more people achieve their dreams.
