Visionary & Managing Director
Ilia Kolosov
Ilia Kolosov is the Managing Director of Aida Dance USA and the driving force behind the company's growth throughout North America. Since launching the business, he has transformed Aida USA from a one-man operation selling shoes out of a duffel bag into one of the leading distributors of premium ballroom dance footwear in the United States.
Under his leadership, Aida Dance USA serves thousands of dancers each year, partners with more than 40 sponsored couples, and maintains a presence at over 25 major competitions annually. His focus extends far beyond selling shoes—he is passionate about building systems, improving customer experience, and raising the standard of service within the ballroom industry.
Although Ilia has never been a competitive dancer himself, he has spent years immersed in the ballroom community, working alongside world champions, studio owners, coaches, and social dancers to better understand what performers truly need from their footwear. His commitment to continuous improvement reflects Aida's philosophy of Kaizen—never-ending refinement in pursuit of excellence.
Outside of Aida, Ilia is an entrepreneur, executive coach, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, and student of leadership, helping business owners develop stronger systems, better decision-making, and sustainable growth.
Director of Operations
Andrew Sim
Andrew Sim oversees the daily operations of Aida Dance USA, ensuring that every order, shipment, inventory update, and customer interaction meets the company's high standards for quality and reliability.
A competitive ballroom dancer with more than a decade of experience in International Latin and Ballroom, Andrew brings firsthand knowledge of what dancers expect from their shoes. His understanding of both the technical demands of competitive dancing and the operational challenges of a growing business allows him to bridge the gap between the dance floor and the warehouse.
Working closely with manufacturers, event organizers, sponsored athletes, and customers across the country, Andrew continually refines Aida's logistics and fulfillment processes to deliver a seamless experience from purchase to performance.
His approach is guided by the Japanese principle of Kaizen—the belief that consistent, incremental improvements ultimately create extraordinary results. That philosophy influences every aspect of Aida's operations and customer service.
Outside the office, Andrew enjoys discovering new restaurants, watching horror films, and staying active in the ballroom dance community.
