Alexandru started dancing at the young age of 4 in Moldova after his mother decided to enroll him in a local dance studio at the suggestion of one of her friends.  From an early age, Alexandru absolutely loved competing and performing.  He was multiple times champion of Moldova in both ballroom and latin.  When Alexandru turned 14, he moved to Romania to pursue his dancing further and won the national youth 10 dance title and made it to the final of the world under 21 10 dance championships.  In 2017, Alexandru moved to Norway and became the vice champion of the national standard amateur championships. A year later, he moved to the United States and continued to dance amateur standard and won the national title of USA dance an impressive four times as well as winning the Standard Show Dance title two times.  In 2023, he met Stephanie and they began their professional American Smooth partnership. 

Stephanie grew up as a competitive gymnast before finding her passion for ballroom dancing while in college.  She asked for some dance lessons for Christmas after being inspired by watching the movie, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin and seeing Penelope Cruise dance a sensual, Argentine Tango.  After graduating from college, she decided to make dancing her full-time career and the rest is history.  Before teaming up with Alexandru, she had already won the Ohio Star Ball Smooth Rising Star title and was an Open Professional Smooth Semi-finalist.  With Alexandru, in under two years, they have already made the Open Professional Smooth Semifinal at the prestigious Ohio Star Ball and been Rising Star Finalists at both Nationals and Ohio.  Their goal is to one day make the Open Professional American Smooth Final.
