Alexander Chernositov & Arina Grishanina

Alexander Chernositov was born in Saratov, Russia, and began dancing at age six after a girl from his kindergarten invited him to join a dance class. What began as a simple invitation developed into a lifelong passion. As a junior and youth competitor, Alexander represented Russia at national and European competitions, building extensive experience before eventually competing in amateur categories for the United States. A major turning point came when  he became USA National 10-Dance Champion and USA Under 21 Latin Champion, as well as UK Open 10-Dance Champion. Alexander’s background across multiple disciplines gave him a strong foundation for his partnership with Arina. He continues to value quality and precision in his dancing, while also embracing opportunities to perform on major stages around the world. 

Arina Grishanina was born in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, and started dancing at age five. For the next 15 years, she trained at Afontovo Dance Club, developing the skills and competitive experience that would eventually take her beyond Russia. At age 20, Arina moved to Scandinavia to pursue her dream of becoming a champion. While living in Denmark, she quickly established herself internationally, becoming Danish Under 21 Latin Champion and winning both the UK Open Rising Star Amateur Latin and Blackpool Dance Festival Amateur Latin Championships in 2013. Her international experience continued to grow as she competed throughout Europe and later represented the United States. Arina is passionate about maintaining high standards in every aspect of her dancing and values quality, comfort, and attention to detail as essential parts of a successful professional career. 

Arina and Alexander formed their partnership in the middle of 2014, quickly establishing themselves among the world’s leading Amateur Latin couples by reaching the top 16 internationally soon after beginning their partnership. Representing the United States, they have earned victories at major competitions including the USA National Championships, Millennium Dancesport, Florida Superstars, Manhattan Dance Championship, Empire Dance Championship, and Embassy Dance Championship. Their international career has also taken them to finals and championships in Germany, England, Italy, Canada, and Cuba. Beyond competition, they have performed at prestigious events including Dance Legends at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom and toured nationally with Dancing Pros Live: You Pick the Winner. Their partnership is built around a commitment to quality, with both dancers emphasizing excellence in training, performance, and even the equipment they use.
