Andrii Voloshko and Kateryna Kyrylenko met each other in 2011 in the Ukraine.

At that time Andrii was already well know and recognized dancer in Ukraine with numerous results such as vice-Ukrainian Champion in Youth in 2009, finalist at the World Championships in Youth in Paris 2009, and Rising Star Dutch Open Finalist. For Kateryna, it was her first professional partnership and she didn’t have as strong results as Andrii as a competitive dancer, so this partnership felt like a surreal chance.

Andrii started dance at the age of 9 in a local studio in Kyiv simply because a classmate invited him to join her for her after-class activity.

Kateryna was born in Mykolayiv, in the south part of Ukraine and started dancing at the age of 4 after a doctor recommendation to help a health condition. At first, dancing was just part of physical activity and she didn’t know that it will bring her so far.

At the age of 16, Kateryna moved to Kyiv to study Marketing at Kyiv National Economic University and dance on a professional level. After a couple of unsuccessful partnerships for Kateryna and a small break for Andrii, through friend’s recommendation, Andrii and Kateryna met each other for their first try out. Back then they didn’t have idea that this decision to dance together would bring them so far in their beautiful dance journey.

Their first major achievement was the title of Ukrainian Champions in Amateur in 2015. The same year Andrii and Kateryna made decision to travel to USA to dance, compete and explore dancing in another part of the world. And after several months, the USA felt like a second home for both of them and they made decisions to stay and continue their dance career as professional dancers.

From 2016 till 2019 together they achieved numerous titles and great results such as winners of the Emerald Ball in 2016, Manhattan Dancesport Championship 2017, and Holiday Dance Classic in Las Vegas. They have also been medalist and finalist of the California Open, Vegas Open, San Francisco Open, and Empire Dance Championship. Additionally, they were United States Dance Championship finalist in 2016, 2017 and top 3 in 2018, plus many more.

Andrii and Kateryna can now call themselves Blackpool finalists, having just placed 3rd place in Professional Rising Star Latin at the 2022 Blackpool Dance Festival. They just recently became Finalists in the "Open to the World" Professional Latin division at the 2022 United States Dancesport Championships!

Right now, Andrii and Kateryna are based in Orange County, California where they are living and working together. Dancing takes up the majority of Andrii and Kateryna’s life. The future goals for the couple are to grow more as professional dancers, develop personal style, and reach top ranking in the US and worldwide, and just simply be a recognizable couple that inspire other dancers.
