Kimberly Turner has spent most of her life in the dance world. Starting her career in Ballet, she studied with various highly regarded dance companies: including Kirov Ballet and American Ballet Theater. From there her career brought her into professional Ballroom, where she has studied and competed professionally for over 12 years.
Adam Edwards grew up in London, England. Spending most of his life around the dance world. Competing in International 10 Dance back in Europe, being selected for European Latin Championships and 10 Dance European Championships. Making world finals in both Ballroom & Latin and winning the UK Closed Latin Championship. Fast forward to 2017, a move to the USA opened up. He took the opportunity and grabbed with both hands.
Adam with his partner and wife Kimberly met through mutual business associates and though he was in England and she was in Texas, they decided to move forward with their dance partnership. Moving to Houston where they initially started to compete in Rhythm. They added Smooth a few years later to focus on 9 Dance. These were both new styles for Adam coming to the US. He spends time studying and always thriving to learn about the new styles for him.
The couple has achieved some fantastic results along the way. Making finals around the country in both Smooth and Rhythm. They are Arthur Murray finalists at every US Dance O Rama (many of which have at least quarter finals). British Open (Blackpool) Professional Rhythm Semi-Finalists, Arthur Murray Rising Rhythm World Silver Medalist, Arthur Murray Open Professional World Rhythm Finalists, Arthur Murray Rising Star Smooth Superama Finalist. They are 9 Dance Winners and recipients of the Jessy Smith Award.
Adam & Kimberly teach and compete Pro-Am with their students and have accomplished many great results including USDC Pro-Am Bronze rhythm champion, as well as winning top awards at events like Top Student, Top Solo, Winner of Multi Dance Events and regular winner of their heats. Adam also teaches a World Pro/Am finalist. His wonderful students have helped contribute to him being recognized as a top teacher within the Arthur Murray organization, also winning several top teacher awards at many events.
Kimberly ran a successful dance studio and was awarded numerous top executive and top teacher awards. She now owns her own Dance Studio and her passion for ballroom dancing and teaching is exemplified by the many students she has trained and lives she has changed through dance.
Adam is now dance director in his studio, helping the staff grow to go on and be great teachers in the industry. He is always learning and growing to help his knowledge of the wonderful art of dance.
